Taken on a family trip to Peru over Christmas, visting friends and seeing the sights

This photo is from Macchu Picchu, one of the most remarkable monuments to traditional architecture you will ever come across. Built high up in the mountains, near the Inca trail, is a village with houses, temples and schools - where the grass is green due to feats of engineering by cultures far more ancient than ourselves. It is both so at odds and so at one with its surroundings that Macchu Picchu takes your breath away
